Chris Obst

Chris’s passion for helping people become stronger managers and leaders comes through in his coaching, speaking and writing.

He coaches managers and executives at top companies in Canada, the US and Europe including Microsoft. His powerful keynotes and workshops inspire high performers to take their game to the next level. And he writes extensively about managing people and managing energy in the Jump Management Blog and for corporate and trade magazines.

Prior to coaching, Chris’s talent for motivating high-performing teams earned the National Post “Canada’s 50 Best Managed Private Companies” Award for a company he co-founded and managed.

In addition to his 20 years of practical management and sales experience, Chris studied Marketing and Management at the University of British Columbia. He has also studied human behavior, and physiology, and is certified to administer a variety of psychometric tests and competency-based assessments, and Chris is a certified personal trainer.

To sustain the energy he needs to run Jump Management Coaching, and enjoy a full life with his family, Chris is passionate about great food, playing outside (mountain biking, hiking, skiing) and learning new things, including yoga. He is also President of Athletics for Kids, a federally registered charity that makes organized sports more accessible to financially disadvantaged children.
